    Hi Notebookreview Guru's,

First of all I am from India.

I want to ask you guys some questions.

    1) Is there any way I can get a Y500 or Y400 with International warranty ?

    2) Does FHD screen makes lot of difference from 1366 * 768 screen.

    3) Z500 will be available in India by Jan 2013 but it consists of Nvidia GT645
How is Nvidia GT645 compared with GT650

    4) Please suggest me any sources from were I can get Y500

    Thanks

    Hi alch3mist291,

1)Most lenovo lap comes under international warranty. To avail the warranty, the particular product should be sold in our country.
    2)For everyday use 1366 * 768 should do fine.
only GPU >GTx660 supports FHD for mordern games.

How come you know z500 has GT645?Any official information?
if its true, then price should be around 60k.

diff btw gt645m vs gt650m is 100mhz approx.

I dont think lenovo release y500 in India.
    >70k will be price for sure,if that miracle happens!

    Gt645 is using GDDR3 2GB while GT650 is using GDDR5 2 GB.

I think thats a big difference right ?

Can anyone confirm whether Ideapad Y500 sold in US site has international or US warranty ?

    Thanks

    Hi balajih,

What do you meant by this "To avail the warranty, the particular product should be sold in our country."

    Hi alch3mist291,
Its good to see GT645m in z500. In US site, its HD4000.

For 720p display,GT645m will be more than enough.
only if you go for 1080p or 900p display, more graphics is needed.

Since y500 is not sold in India,we dont get warranty here. Im very sure about this bacause I already went through T&C and chatted with customer care about this.
Dont worry about Y500, there is a serious trackpad problem with this, also it doesnt have HD4000 graphics, so no Optimus it means less battery backup.

Intel HD 4000 is present in Y500 , but disabled by default.

I wont be using the touchpad anyway. Will the problem be there even if we disable it ?

I love the keyboard color and GT650 in SLI :(
