Format is a command in the command language, which is all YOU have in the install. You say: "Format C:" but this should already be done for you by the manufacturer. The install in it's typical graphic fashion will give you an opportunity to format the disk in Win 7. Btw, that's "Operating System".
Once you start the install it's self instructing.

If your system came with Windows 7 originally, then do a backup of the activation certificates and product key first. Use either ABR Backup & Restore or Josh's Advanced Tokens Manager whichever you prefer to do this process and save this to an external drive.

Then make some backups of the files you want to keep from the system. This can be saved to either an USB pen drive, External HDD drive or Blank DVD's as a Format will wipe out everything from the system.

Once done gather the basic driver files that is required for your system and save them on to a USB pen drive. Ideally you need the video and network drivers (wireless in this case) so you can connect to the internet to gather the rest of the drivers and updates.

If you require a Windows 7 Installation DVD then you can obtain it from this thread, be sure to download the version that matches on the system previously. If you need step-by-step help then you could use my guide as reference to help you on the installation process.

The original poster was a spammer, and I am afraid they never cared about your fine answers. The post contained hidden image spam, of the same family as described here -- and linking to the same spam site as similar recent spam posts.

Ordinarily we delete spam posts, but I'll leave this to preserve you responses.

When you see posts that seem real, but are almost too generic, too benign, try and click "Reply with Quote", that will reveal the hidden links (I've cleaned them from the above post). Just report such posts and we'll whack the moles. Thank you for your help making NBR a great place, both with your helpful answers and with such reports!
