    Hey guys,

I was just wondering how are you guys figuring out which keyboards and LCD screens you have? I typed in the part #s on lenovo's website but the search results didn't tell me anything.

In case anyone can help out, my part numbers are as follows:

    42V8195 SBB KEYBOARD US ENGLISH

    42V9324 SBB 14.1WXGA +TFT,W/OCAM

    Thanks all.

It was discussed in other threads. Here's some info on your keyboard. The part # you listed is wrong as it needs a "T" in the part number.

    http://www.ip-web.de/ThinkPad/hmm/hm...61_42x3547.pdf

    FRU # 42T3143 = NMB
    FRU # 42T3273 = Chicony
    FRU # 42T3209 = Alps

and here are the original FRU #s:

    FRU # 39T0958 = NMB
    FRU # 39T7178 = Chicony
    FRU # 39T7118 = Alps

I just had the same question yesterday and found the answer with a search on here.
    1. My order was shipped on Wednesday, so I took my serial number from the order status page along with my model number and entered them on this page:
    Lenovo Parts Lookup

    2. That page will return a list of all the Manufacturer Part numbers and FRU numbers for the parts in your computer. The FRU number is what's important here because they help you determine who made your components.

    3. I took the FRU number for my keyboard and used it as a search term here on the forums. I was able to find someone else who had discussed the same FRU and had determined which manufacturer it was. I also pulled up the hardware maintenance manual and searched by FRU # on there for the ones I coudln't find on a search here.

Is the serial # only put on the status page AFTER the computer ships because my page has no serial number yet.

Parts lookup doesn't work now. can someone try his number and check if the problem is on Lenovo or me?
