So I got the Logitech VX Nano and I like the fact that the receiver can be plugged in and never taken out. The problem is that I don't use the mouse all the time. The receiver is on and drains power. How can I shut it off without actually pulling out the receiver? It would be great if I can permanately turn it off and just turn it back on when I am using the mouse. Thx!

    You may try devcon.exe

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311272

It's a small application that allows you to enable or disable pieces of hardware.

I use it with my nomad zen vision:m when I need it to be charged by the computer and not sync it while plugged.

I can't tell you how to use it. This is how I use it to enable my Zen :

    devcon enable USB\VID_041E*

You need to know the device id of your VX Nano. You will find it in the Device Manager.

Just create shortcuts or batch files to enable and disable your mouse.

    Hope it helps.
