    Hi,

I bought a new X61 recently and the power plug that goes from the AC adapter into the wall socket can go in both ways (unlike most other plugs which have one pin slightly bigger that won't go in the wrong way). How should i determine which is the correct polarity? i have already connected it both ways by mistake. Nothing too bad happend, except that the adapter and the chassis got a bit hot. Does it matter or not which way I plug it in?

If the prongs are not polarized it doesn't matter which way you plug them in...

If you were super worried about polarity read the adaptor it always lists that stuff right on there...
