How do I go about deleting the recovery partition? It has no letter drive and I can't do it through the disk management in the control panel..

If you do it from a bootable copy, your home free. Otherwise you'll have to dismount the target disk from the sytem and delete the partition. Oh yes to use the microsoft disk, the partitions must be contiguous.

The best solution is to copy a free copy of Acronis disk manager and I think it will allow you to add to a partition which is ideal, is what I did to create some partitions. I think Diskpart.exe is the microsoft utility that you want.

What do you mean by bootable copy?
I'm gonna install Windows 7, but I want to delete the hidden recovery partition first.
    I'm trying to do this on a 160gb T500.
