A month ago, I bought another T61 (T7500) with XP. The funny thing is that I cannot find a way to create Rescue and Recovery Startup Disk as well as Product Recovery Disk, which I was able to do for my previous T61.
Here is what I did: Go to Start->Programs->ThinkVantage->Rescue and Recovery. I got a window in which I could only see three options:
Back up your system
Restore your system
Manage settings.
What I have done so far with this new T61 is simply remove some useless files.
Did I miss something? Or something wrong with this laptop? Or Lenovo does not allow me to do so any more?
Can somebody help me out?
Thanks a ton!

To create a set of "Factory Restore" discs, do the following:|
Click Start Menu
Go to "ThinkVantage"
Go to "Create Recovery Media"
At that point, you will be presented with the Recovery Media creation program, which will guide you through the steps to make your discs. It requires 1 CD and either 1 DVD (if you got the DVD-DL option) or a number of additional CD's (6-8, I believe, since I have the DVD burner, I'm not exactly sure). -
TheCynical1,
Thanks for your info. It really helps! I am kind of rusty in how to use Thinkpad now
Cheers! -
