    How to check that:

    - through a P/N. I searched in Lenovo site but it never tells me a screen is LED backlight or not. For example, can anyone check this P/N (T400):
    6475-nw6

    - through software. I tried Everest, but no luck. It shows a lot of things, but not the backlight!

    Thank you!

Well, why do you even need to know?

Everest should give you a display model number and you can google that and find out, if Everest doesn't show you, try SIW

HWinfo32 will tell you the model as well.
Usually if it's a LED you can tell just by adjusting the brightness. It should be still fine on the lowest brightness in a dark room. I can't use my LED on higher than 50% - tooooo bright.
