Had the same problem a few days ago. Fortunately, my old desktop still has a floppy drive. Made a bootable CD from the floppy and restored the partition.

Unfortunately I don't have the image I made here with me. I'll post it tomorrow. But hopefully someone has another solution, so that you don't have to wait so much time..

Edit: I assume you haven't deleted the RnR partition...

I think I still have the hidden partition, unless the Linux installation messed it up for me :( .

Thanks arlab i'll be waiting for the ISO.

Sorry for taking so long. Here it is:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/87343153/rnr40_rrd_fixed.iso.html

It won't last long though (Rapidshare). If someone could upload it to a personal server or something would be great.

Anyway, this is the Windows Vista repair diskette... don't know if that was the one you were looking for.

Only for Vista. Windows XP and 2000 have a different repair diskette.
I'm writing a quick post, so that other people with the same problem can find it. I'll make a ISO of the XP and 2000 diskette also for it to be more complete.

Thanks for the ISO arlab :D, so I burned the image to a DVD, set my BIOS to look the DVD drive first, and after that my screen says Abort, Retry, Fail?

I've tried running repair.exe, still when I want to use RnR it still says BOOTMGR missing :(.

    Am I missing something?
