    hello everyone
    Finally i ordered a T60 from the lenovo site.
    I had one query how can i check which screen would be there on my laptop
    i have the part no of the screen

    42R9419 SBB 14.1 XGA-TFT

    I dont think there is a way to tell. Laptop makers may use the same screen manufactered by different companies. For example, the t60 that you purchased may have a LG and the one your friend buys may have a Samsung..

    Not sure if there is a way to tell, unless you open the machine.

    You can't tell until you get a serial number - which means it has already shipped. Once you get the serial number in your shipping notice go here:

    Put in your type and serial number and click continue. Look at the parts list for the FRU # of the display. Once you find that, enter it into the search box at the top of the page. That will lead you to the manufacturer info.

    If you're not happy with the result, call Lenovo for an RMA. They'll take it back as long as you don't open it.
