    Sorry if this question is already answered. I did a few searches and got so many return results. Read quite a few but failed to see step-by-step for my T61.

    I would appreciate it if somebody knows exactly where to start.

    what do you mean exactly by creating a bootable cd? Are you trying to create a bootable windows cd? or are you just talking about making a CD in general bootable?

    If you are talking about a lenovo recovery set, just goto All Programs > ThinkVantage > Create Rescue and Recovery Media

    If you are talking about making a bootable windows CD for a clean install, download Nlite and follow these directions:

    If you're talking about making a Recovery Disk:

    Start, All Programs, ThinkVantage, Create Recovery Disk.
