My X61 does not have the WWAN card, however, it has the second fan installed. It is a bit noisy and it always blows even when the right palm rest is cool to touch. I tried TPFanControl. It only controls the main CPU fan. I went ahead to disconnect the second fan. But the laptop will report "fan error" when it boots up or restarts and you have to press ESC to continue to boot. Is there any way to control or disable the second fan? Thanks.
