There's a sale ending in 1.5 hours, and I'd really like to think about it some more before i buy my laptop, but with the promo code I ended up saving about 800 dollars...

Does Lenovo do these sales often? I was hoping to get a laptop before school starts in September

They have sales all the time, but the models rotate. Some seem to come up more than others -- which are you looking at?

They have them all the time, varies on model and percentage. I think 15% is average, 25% (maybe even 30%) is really good. (Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, its been a while since I've kept track!)

You can cancel before the order is put through. I believe they also have a price policy for 30 days, if you find the same config for lower price, you can talk to a CSR to refund you the difference. But I've never used it so you might want to call to confirm.

It looks like a "standard" Lenovo sale: 15% off. 20% off expensive configurations.

It'll be on sale again before September - you can take that to the bank. But when the sale comes back, chances are it'll be the same 15%. Assuming Lenovo doesn't play around too much with the base price, there won't be much difference - if any.

At least this way, you can be sure you receive it in time.

FYI on the checkout page you can save a configuration as a quote that's good for 30 days. Avoids all of the "sale's ending in two hours" angst. :)
