    Hello all,

The weight is a very important factor for me before buying, but no matter how hard i try I can't manage to get a concrete figure how much this T420 + 6 cell battery actually weights... Could some one who owns once weight it?

One website writes (see hyper-link): 1.96 kg, Power Supply: 0.19 kg . But then it writes: 2.3kg. The lenovo specs sheet indicates 2.17 KG without telling if it includes the power supply, wheile on another sheet the same Lenovo website is listing the T420 weight with 6 cell battery as 1.9kg,

On the wiki website it starts at 4.84 lbs (2.19 KG).

To whom should i believe? :nah:

The weight will vary depending on specs. The battery will change the weight and dimensions noticeably. The lower weights likely assume the 6-cell battery, the higher weights will be with the 9-cell (which adds a bulge to the back of the laptop).

I have access to T4x0 laptops at work, the T420 is "heavy" for its size, the heatsinks for the dedicated video are likely part of the blame, as well as cooling for the higher-end i7.

Well, for the record, my T430 with SSD and 6-Cell is 4.69lb (2.12kg), so I'd assume a comparably configured T420 is at least in the same range.

My T420 (6-cell battery, optical drive, HDD, discrete graphics) weighs 2.22kg or 4.875lb according to my kitchen scales. That's without the power supply.
