    my t61 was at KY, US on July 29, and is still there till now.

    called UPS today, was told that it is waiting for clearence.

    You know, in my International Business class I learned that places like Japan will understaff a customs bureau for business machines just to block your country from importing. While they will not come right out and say your products are banned, understaffing a customs bureau has the same effect as banning your items.

    I believe France had about 2 employees total for Japanese VCR's at some point in time when they felt Japan was a threat.

    The same may be true for Lenovo, a Chinese-owned company. Perhaps in one small way, the U.S. is fighting back on the trade surplus we have with China. By the way, Dell has 4 plants, U.S., Ireland, Malaysia, and China. No one ever heard of their Dells getting stuck in customs for a week and a half. There's probably a good degree of politics going on behind this.

    holding a product for a few hours to a day would hardly qualify as being a political statement in my book. anyways, why would you care about anything the french do? the french....bah
