How long from *shipped day* ?

Just checked a status of my T60 order, and 01/02/07 date was changed to "shipped on 12/08/06". I assume it will be coming from China. Can anybody share their experience about how long it took to get your laptop over here? I remember someone posted about "overnight shipment", but with my luck it will never happen to me. Also, keeping fingers crossed for no dead pixels and NMB keyboard (that one gets in randomly).

If it doens't get stuck in customs it might take 2 days, 3 at the most. If it gets stuck in customs pray, as it could vary greatly between shipments. Mine is currently stuck in KY in a customs area.

 

4 days for me. It matches the "rescheduled delivery date" in the UPS tracking page.

 

I got the exact same configuration as you twister. And mine also shipped on the 8th, scheduled for delivery on the 11th.

What are the chances of getting stuck in customs?

 

Mine also shipped 12/8 but I am not yet able to get tracking info from the site. How do you know yours is scheduled for the 11th? Did you pay for the 2-day shipping? (I did)

 

I got an email from my rep with the tracking number. My order status does not have the tracking yet, but it shows up on UPS. Left HK at 148am today. I paid for ground, but they upgraded me to express (seems like they are doing that for a lot of people, although I also asked earlier just in case).

 

The actual tracking doesn't become available until it gets into the US, but mine got to NC IIRC on the 4th day. They don't seem to get stuck in customs anymore ever since the first batfch of Lenovo's shipped...I wonder what happened to dietcokefiend's.

 

Well my tracking info just went up (1:32 EST) and the package is scheduled to arrive 12/11, hopefully in the morning. It shipped 12/8.

@mbrockma: did you also get it with "n" wi-fi? I was ordering through our company's account (w/corporate discount) and they told me its the only way to get the new Intel's a/b/g/n wi-fi.

 

I did get n wireless. But I ordered through the student/alumni discount page. But it was not offered online, I called and upgraded for $30. Monday can't get here soon enough.

 

The same here! Just out of curiosity how much did the system cost you through your discount page? My salesperson went through a number of different discount options, but at the end he choose the one which supposed to be the best and I ended up paying a final price of $1,849 (before taxes and free shipping). It is a heavy duty loaded config, but I still felt like it was a little overpriced.

BTW, its only a laptop I'm looking forward getting a new system to update my T42, but at the same time not looking forward to starting from scratch with a system tweaking and the whole re-install of every single application All that takes away from playing with my new GS350

 

Mine was 1750 before tax. But I only got the 1 year warranty, everything else identical though.
