    How long does memtest take?

    I just installed a 2GB stick in my new R61i to make it 3GB total. The RAM thread said to run memtest, so it's running now. It's been over three hours now, way longer than I thought it would take. When is it going to be done?

    I think 3 hours is pretty good but if you want do it over kill just let run over night and you be 100 precent sure

    Most memorey check program will run forevery ether till you laptop crash or you turn them off

    Thanks everyone. Now that I've read the guide, I think 3.5 hours and 4 passes is more than enough and I'm stopping it.

    Make sure to run it over night...i had no errors after running it for about four hours and then it was recommended to me to run it over night...it immediately found two errors.
