    How long did it take your laptop to be released from customs?

    From what someone that works at UPS told me, even when the laptop gets to Kentucky, it'll probably be held up in customs for a few days before it's released for delivery. Do any of you have experiences with how long this process normally takes?

    mine left CHEK LAP KOK,HK at 9:23 pm on the 21st now its the 25th... and aparently it hasnt arrived anywhere from there... it was soposed to be on my door step in oregon before 10:30 this morning ... i called them and they couldnt tell me any more than the tracking on the internet did... :(

    Mine had almost no hold up in customs, maybe just a couple of hours tops.

    Mine was held up for 1 whole day in Louisville. It arrived in the morning and was not released until afternoon the following day.

    Chek Lap Kok is in Hong Kong. Interesting why your Thinkpad is leaving from hk instead of mainland china.

    vedavin, my T61 has nearly the exact same data except the fact that it shipped form Shenzhen, China and also went to Seoul, South Korea (Incheon). In theory it should be in Anchorage already and be on it way to Louisville, KY but the scans don't show that yet... :(

    Mine was scanned in Hong Kong on Sunday and arrived at my door in NJ at 11AM Eastern Time today ... way to go UPS.

    Mine went straignt from HK to Ontario, CA then to my home town in CA the same day. There was no UPS Customs scan that I could see.

    Shipped on Friday 6/22, received 9:24 am on Monday 6/25. Per the UPS driver, Express deliveries are delivered by 9:30 am.

    Similiar story here ... except I was not home to receive it. Went from Hong Kong to Ontario and then Oakland, CA on the day after it shipped. Continued to my local station and delivery was attempted at just before 10 am. No mention of customs in the tracking log.
