How long did it take for you to receive your Thinkpad?

Hi folks, first post here. Just ordered a ThinkPad T60P (2623DDU) to replace my "painfully-ill-suited-for-regular-business-use" HP ZD7000. I'm aware of the shipping delays most people have experienced with the ThinkPads. So what I'd like to know is, just how long did it take for you to receive yours from Lenovo?

P.S. I ordered on 5/2; expected ship date is 5/23, but I'm not holding my breath.

 

I got mine off eBay so I had it in about three days.

 

I'd be interested to see when you get your thinkpad. The 2623DDU at $2199.00 is a great price for what you get. I'm thinking of buying one in a few days and hope the price might drop even more within the 30 days of purchase (crossing fingers). Too bad you can't automatically downgrade to the 6 cell battery on purchase. Or can you?

 

Good that your not holding your breath! I ordered that exact model on 4/17. My original ship date was 5/12. After calling them this week they moved it back to the end of May earliest. My expected delivery date was about the 2nd week in June.

I cancelled it and ordered an HP 8430. Slightly faster specs with widescreen. Shipping this week. I really like the T60's, but I cannot wait until mid-June to receive it. Too much work to do with my current laptop now defunct.

 

I ordered my T60 on April 24th and it was delivered on May 2nd! I've been using it for a week and it's awesome!

 

UPDATE: As of 5/15 I just got an email from Lenovo saying my order shipped?!!!! Tracked it on UPS.com, and it did indeed ship from Hong Kong, headed for Memphis. I guess it needs to stop off at Lenovo's USA location before being re-shipped to me. Can it be true? Will I actually receive my laptop by their promised date of 5/23?!!!

 

I switched from ordering the T60 to ordering a Dell E1705... but I ended up shipping it back once it got here. The E1705's LCD was absolutely horrible. I use matte LCD laptops at work and nothing was as bad as this (except maybe passive displays from 8+ yrs ago). 1/3 of the display was clear.

To prove I wasn't seeing things, I checked a few laptops at work.. mostly 14-15in displays.. nope, the E1705 matte is horrible.

I just want a laptop to develop software on and play some games but it's difficult to find anything concrete on how well the ATI chipset plays games.

Yes, I do business and game. I am one of those people looking for a decent graphics chipset in my laptop

Which would be a reason I held off from getting the T60.. that and no DVI..

 

Which LCD was horrible? The T60's or the E1705's?

 

UPDATE: I can't believe it. I just received my ThinkPad today. Exactly a week ahead of schedule!

 

I ordered a T60p on 5/10 as well, got an ETA of 6/6.
Yesterday got an email saying it had shipped by UPS Ground.
No tracking number until this morning. Went to the UPS tracking site and it said "Out for Delivery"!
Arrived here at 10:30 AM (despite all the flooding here in Southern NH)

 

I ordered a T60p on 5/6 and today I received an email saying it has shipped. Hopefully I'll receive it by Friday. However for some reason the tracking link on the order status page is broken so I can't get a tracking number.

 

It appears there is still a shipping issue with the Z60m's. Placed the order 4/24 and received an initial ship date of 5/12. After a week of the ever popular game.... "it's definitely going to ship today or tomorrow", I finally cancelled the order yesterday. I wasn't in a tremendous hurry for the rig but I could never get the same shipping information from anyone at Lenovo and therefore may have canceled the order out of spite. Impatient and ego may have got the best of me. That's a bummer man. Peace Ya'll

 

Regarding cancellation: how long does it take to show up as cancelled in the Lenovo order status? I am asking because I cancelled on Monday and it's still "in process". And, of course, they are holding my money hostage.
