It's already my third question about the screen from T60 and hopefully the last one ;)
I'am still trying to imagine if this screen fulfills my expectations. Unfortunatly i've no chance to see one in real.
but i have some comparison with other matte-screens, and probably some of you know these models and can give my a comparison to the T60!!!

The Thinkpad a21m and a newer R-Type (2 years old) from my parents are definitively to bad for my needs. Yesterday i saw the Pavilion zt3000 from HP, and i really loved that screen, it's also matt and very bright.
Have some one of you an idea if the T60-screen (14") is coming close to the zt3000, or is the screenquality closer to a a21m?!

apparently it varies by screen brand. there is a review in the news and reviews section that has a really bad screen. then there is a thread here with a decent looking one. if you buy from Lenovo shouldn't be an issue - can return if bad, or ask them to ship you on with the good brand.

Take a read, it discusses the 3 brands of screen a little. Also, HP? I never hear many good things about their products. They tend to be cheap and their customer service sucks.

My parents bought an HP desktop about 5 years ago that my brother and I ended up fixing every time one of us is home because the HP customer service would fix it for a month, then it would have another problem, but they wouldn't replace it...then the warranty ran out...

And that's just the HP story that I'm directly involved with. I know several people that have similar stories. Thinkpads though....built for high availability and customer support is top notch. Most surveys place Lenovo/IBM with Apple and Toshiba at the top of reliability/service.

Could anybody tell me something about the differences from the screenquality (colors, brightness, contrast) from the a21m in comparison to the t60 (14", 1400*1050)???
