    I am getting a Ram upgrade to 768 and an extended 3 year warranty.

    That's the same model I was looking at! You can buy it from some place on www.dealtime.com and not have to pay tax though... You can still by the extended warranty from IBM, even if you purchase the notebook elsewhere.

    What is the difference between the "express" ThinkPad and a regular TP? i.e. 2378-FVU vs. 2373-3UU

    The 2373-3UU comes with 512 RAM and A/B/G wireless, otherwise everything else seems to be the same. But the 2373-3UU costs around $2500 while the 2378FVU is only $1850... hmmmm

    The U33 also has a 3 year warranty. I just ordered the 2373-JXU which has the flexview 15.0 screen. Hope this one has no dead pixels...
