I know this may sound like a completely ignorant question, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use the card reader. I am trying to plug in a Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo into my reader but when I tried originally, the card was stuck and I had to pull it out by using tape. I examined the reader with a flashlight and there doesn't appear to be a specific location for certain cards to go.

Am I missing an adapter or something? I have looked in my Lenovo box and did not find anything.

The memory stick pro duo needs a memory stick adapter before it can be used.

Thank you for your reply. Is there any certain adapter I should use for this specific media reader?

I thought all Pro Duo cards came with an adapter? At least back in the day they did..

any Memory Stick Pro Duo to Memory Stick adapter should do.

If you are in the U.S., I've got a spare adapter around, I haven't used it in years, but it should still work. I could send it to you for free if you'd like. Just PM me your address and I'll send it out via USPS ASAP. :)

Yeah, an adapter should do the trick. Although I have noticed that even with the MS Pro Duo to MS Duo adapter, the card reader on my T400 swallows the whole card. It reads the card but I have to use a tweezer to pull the card out.

I just tested the adapter on my T400 and if you press on it with your finger tip it pops out.

This adapter from DealExtreme should work fine as well. It's dirt cheap but you may have to wait a week or two to get it (free shipping from HK isn't that fast).

I really appreciate all of the replies. I had not been able to find anything to help me out from searching, lol. Oddly enough I did not receive an adapter with my purchase. I only received the card. A relative also just recently bought a 2GB MemoryStick Pro Duo and they said they only received the card in the box.

Patriot, I may take you up on that offer. I am currently checking with a local friend if they have a spare after finding out about the need of an adapter. :)

Update: I was able to obtain an adapter that works. Thanks again to Patriot for offering. :)
