I've been doing work setting up Windows 7 on the Lenovo T61p. I forgot what I did to get it in screen mode and would like to get back to seeing the thinkpad image instead of all this writing.

No. I mean the boot screen that normally shows an image of a thinkpad. It will also not show an image but show what it's doing while booting. I've turned the boot writing on and now I want it turned off again.

there may be an option to enable and disable quick boot and/or memory tests in the bios.

Yup. On my T400 if Quickboot is disabled it will go through the POST instead of showing the image. It also beeps at me which I do not like... :/

The answer is to hit F1 during boot, The bootmode is set to "Diagnstics" mode. Switching it to normal mode does indeed get rid of the boot information and makes the picture show.
