    How do you look up the parts for a laptop that just shipped?

    I read here somewhere that it is possible to do a parts lookup for your CTO laptop after it has been shipped. How do I go about doing that?

    cool, thanks everyone. I just got the shipping notice today and it seems they may not have updated my part on the website yet as I cannot find it using the method above. Maybe in the next couple of days I'll be able to look it up.

    I'm getting a X61. Are there different screens for this laptop? Which is the supposedly better screen?

    Also, I shipped with Standard UPS, how long does this usually take?

    It could be manufactured by Hydis, CMO or Samsung. I have no idea which one is the best, but I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever one you get..

    With my laptop, it was 4 - 5 days after shipping before any information was available through the parts lookup page.
