Is there a way to use the Thinkpad's power manager to only let the laptop charge from 35 to 95? (which I was recommended)

Or do I have to use another application for that? If so, could someone recommend me one?

    Thank you!

Thinkpad Power Manager --> use the Advanced menu (as opposed to Basic) --> Battery tab --> Battery Maintenance --> adjust your battery settings as desired.

Did you do a clean Windows install? If you did, you might have missed this.

Is this the best threshold for charging? It would appear that if the battery is at, say, 93%, it will continue to drain down to 35% before charging. Wouldn't this run up the charge cycles prematurely?

I'm plugged in 90% of the time...

I have mine set at the default values (7% to 100%, iirc). Doesn't seem to affect battery performance much.

No, because the battery won't be charged until it gets down to 35%: one cycle is using and then charging up the battery. I use the same setting on my T500 to reduce the cycle count.
