You don't know, until Lenovo posts the serial number of the notebook, and then you can check it with Lenovo's part checking site.

Nothing definitive there, smart arse. In fact, it just points back to some posts here which of course AREN'T definitive.

I'm guessing it must be the LG, but I have no proof, and I am not taking my machine apart.

There is nothing definitive out there, but that thread is the most definitive thing you will find. Search around the thread (there is a little button for that at the top) for 42T0423 and you will see the discussion about that number and why people think that screen is an LG. No reason to open up the notebook.

Alternatively, run PC wizard and google the number it gives you for the LCD. If you had read into that thread you will see that someone has already done just that with their 42T0423 lcd and it came up with Monitor Type: LP154W02- TL06 15 INCH

Pop that in google and google says: Lp154w02 (b1)(k5) Laptop LCD ScreenLG Philips LP154W02 (B1)(K5) 15.4" laptop screen

If you have the machine in hand, run an application like PC Wizzard.

If you don't have the machine, there's no way to know which Lenovo will use when they build it.

Now was that so hard? :D

Thanks man, I'll take your word for it and it is appreciated. I always wanted something from LG. They make cool cell phones and high def TVs.
