It took me 3 months to realize that there was an inbuilt microphone.
Now I just need to test if it works. I can't find a program that's preloaded on the thinkpad. Do I need to download one?
-
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
Open that up and test your voice. -
Arkit3kt, I tried doing this, but I couldn't get anything to record. Is there anything else to test it?
-
It should work, I just tried it myself. Were you covering up the mic with your hand by any chance? It is under the Fn key on the keyboard.
-
the mic is to the right of the left click button on the 14 inch t61.....if it doesnt work with the sound recorder...then there is something wrong, make sure the mic volume is turned up in volume properties.
-
Thanks. That's exactly what it was. I turned it all the way up and turned on the microphone boost. Not the best quality, but it works. Thanks!
-
Okay it works.
I didn't know my voice sounded so funny. -
Try using it without the mic boost. That might help....voice quality with skype and google talk is great for me.
-
the mic location should be diffrent on each every thinkpad. but for t61 it should be next to your touchpad.
-
Yes, for the T61 14.1" Widescreen, the microphone is above the headphone jack.
How do I use the microphone?
