After reading a post on this forum earlier today about system updates, I manually started the ThinkVantage System Update utility. It presented a bunch of updates and while I thought I opted out of the craplets I'd purged from my system, some probably made it through.

Anyway, one of them seems to be the ThinkVantage message center... it's running 3 processes (LPMGR.exe and LPMCHK.exe twice) and seems happy to serve up stupid msgs about using TP utilities. I can't seem to find where to stop or delete this service. Is it just a necessary part of the TP Productivity Center?

    Any tips?
