I got referred to a sales rep for US by another NBR member then she had to refer me to another sales rep for Lenovo Canada. (I'm Canadian)

So this Canadian rep called me today and she was straight rude to me. She start going off at me and said why are you going to US rep if you are Canadian and where did you get her inforamtion in the first place etc.... I told her this is my first time purchasing Lenovo so I didn't know the process.

Anyways, she said you already have the best discount using Visa Perks so just make the purchase. I told her I have to think about the purchase because I have a meeting in few minutes. She seemed really bothered by me and said she attached her rep ID to my quote.

After I hung up, I really didn't want to buy Lenovo product if this is the general attitude I have to put up with. Anyways, if I end up buying my W520, how do I make sure she doesn't get sales from me? (I don't want her attaching her sales rep ID to my quote)

Do I just build a new quote? Can I just pay at check out without sales rep or something?

If you build a new quote, it will ask you at some point if you have a rep ID. Just leave it blank and screw that sales rep. While some say they offer you a better price than you can get elsewhere, I found that to be false. The rep I dealt with gave me a "deal", but then I found out that calling back and getting another rep got me a better deal. Still not satisfied, I used the MasterCard Marketplace to order through Lenovo and that gave me a better price than both offers from the two sales reps. First rep I had dealt with actually had lowered the price several times, each time saying that that was the best price they could give me. After throwing a better price in his face he was a little reluctant to adjust the price, but did so anyway. SEVERAL TIMES he adjusted, telling me each time that it was the best price he could offer me. Ridiculous!

if a sales rep didn't create your quote then they don't get commission.   the ID is attached so that any questions about an order can be pushed to one single point of contact.   besides, for all the crap that sales reps put up with on a daily basis, i'd say just buy your system with your existing quote, be happy that you're getting a good price, and put the rest behind you.

Yeah I think you are right. Maybe she was having a slightly off day or something. I shouldn't let this small thing bother me when I'm about to get my hot new machine. :)

    Have a nice day y'all.

Don't sweat the small stuff. It's a better to live.

I'm typing from my X220i, which by the way is flippin' awesome.

Did the other sale rep from USA treat you badly? If it only occur once then i don't think that we should jump to the conclusion that every sale rep is like that. As said she may just have had a bad day, or could be told off by someone for something. I think you should just take in stride, and don't let such thing bother you too much.
