I did a clean install of Windows 7 (it originally had 8) on my Lenovo Ideapad Y580. It's running fine, but the ssd is just seen as another drive and not really used to cache/speed up things. I was wondering how do I make this work? Like I said, I formatted everything, so the only partitions I have are my main hard drive (750gb) and the ssd (16gb). Thanks.

Thanks. I took a screenshot of command prompt after I did what you said. Is this what it should look like? And will I notice a difference in performance now?

As you use your computer, the cache will fill up gradually, until you install core system updates, then the cache will flush itself. Also the cache might flush itself if you do a hard shutdown.
