How do I get my Yoga 11s to STOP autorotating? Button, checkbox don't work.

I just bought a Yoga 11s and it doesn't take a change from horizontal to make the screen start rotating. I switched the button (and screen displayed "auto-rotate off") but no go. I went into the "Change the appearance of your display" to make sure the "Allow the screen to auto-rotate" was unchecked and it still rotated.

I did discover that if the auto-rotate button is on, the screen will rotate normally, if off, it will only rotate vertically to one side or the other.

I did do some searches but most of the discussion was about how to get the auto-rotate to work again. Is this a known, un-fixed issue?
