    How can i do a reinstall / repair of windows without a factory reset on E530?

    Hi, I have a Lenovo E530 laptop, i want to do a repair / reinstall of windows, a disc didn't come with my laptop it just has the setup files on the partition, but i cannoy find any way to do a reinstall without losing everything and having to do a full factory reset.

    Does anyone know how i can do one, surely i must be able to somehow?

    If you do not need any data, you can turn the PC and press OneKey recovery button (which should be near your power on button). I believe it will offer you to back up files before recovery (you should have external HDD/usb key for that).

    Other options are: Reset and Refresh from MS:
    Press restart the PC while holding the shift key and you will boot to screen, which will offer troubleshoot. From there you can choose Reset (without loosing data, but programs need reinstalling) or Refresh (loosing data and programs).

    And the 3rd way is to split the HDD into 2 partitions, move your required data to D partition and then use option 2 to refresh. I can not remember if Lenovo OneKey recovery offers to recover only C or not, but it's worth checking that out.
