    How can I tell if some laptops can be swapped for a SSD?

    So I got this laptop as a gift
    IdeaPad Y410p Laptop - 59392484 - Dusk Black: Weekly Deal | Lenovo | (US)

    But I'm wondering if I can swap the DVD drive to use a Solid State drive instead?
    And if so how would I know that by reading the specs?
    And would I need a drive caddy? What size if do?
    Anything else to look for or extra items I would need to get a SSD in this laptop?

    I'm pretty sure you can on the Ideapad Y410p, refer to the Y410p Owners Thread for more detail on the optical drive caddy.
