Everyday I have to manually do this tedious thing at least twice:
start the computer, about 5 seconds later WLAN gets connected (but internet is not available), then a yellow ! appears on the network status icon at the right corner of taskbar, saying that "additional login information needed". Then I have to open the browser, input any address or click any bookmark, then an in-house school webpage pops out, I have to type in my user ID and password to pass the authentication.
Is there any way to make Access Connection remember my login credentials, and get connected to the internet automatically?
I tried a few WIFI encrypt settings with Access Connection but failed to connect to WLAN in the first place.

Access Connections probably can't do it, but wget/curl might do it for you. Check with your school's login page/tech support. Your system sounds like my school's and we have a 15 day remember id/pw and automated login with web clients.

you can configure the login page information and such through the browser's LAN settings in the network page, choose your proper proxy and such.

Yeah, my school also uses this type of authentication too. I don't really see the problem with it, 99% of the time if you want use the internet, you are going to open a browser anyway. I just save my user name and password using firefox.

I have AC set up to recognize my university's Wifi SSID. When connecting, it starts Firefox. Upon starting, Firefox attempts to connect to my home page, but is redirected to the login page. Firefox's Password Manager can be used to enter your credentials.
It's not completely automated, but it does reduce user interaction.
How can I configure Access Connection to automate my campus network authentication?
