How can I add/upgrade ram on Thinkpad Edge E220s? I've searched everywhere even the U260 since it has the same one piece at the bottom, but could not find any links/site. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Well, you know, if you gave people more than five minutes to respond, perhaps you'd get an answer. This is a free forum. Take it as such. Per the forum rules, no bumps for 24 hours.

hi there, i too have been searching the web on this however i found the answer and have successfully upgraded my lenovo thinkpad e220s 2 gb to 4 gb, please refer to lenovo hardware maintance PDF for the picture of how to remove the keyboard.

Hardware Maintenance Manual - ThinkPad Edge E220s

    steps to upgrade.

    - purchase a 4 gb ddr3 1333mhz ram from your nearby pc shop
    - flip your pc around and see 2 screw in the middle of the laptop with the picture label indicate as ram keyboard and screen icon.
    - unscrew both screw and flip over, unfold the screen and reveal your keyboard.
    - now push your keyboard towards the screen, with a help of a little '-' sign screwdriver to pry the keyboard.
    - this will reveal your mainboard and ram is on the bottom right.
    - press down the 2 ram guard thingy and swap in the 4 gb ram.
    - power on and test your pc if it's upgrade to 4 gb before you put the keyboard back in place.
    - and of course, screw back both screw. you don't want to have flying keyboard later on.
    - have fun, guide from singaporean tech noobie (this is my first computer, have never ever access to the system before and its pretty easy huh?). google is your best friend.
