    How can (if can) do processor upgrade

    I have ThinkPad r61 with t7100 processor.
    If anyone can told can i upgrade t7100 to t9300?

    i dont see why not. should be the same motherboard as the rest of the newer core models. how old is it? verify what chipset you are running.

    I think you can, but before that: do a BIOS update. I believe the latest for your laptop is 2.10 Check on Lenovo's website. ;)

    The actual CPU upgrade is not that big a deal. I upgraded my T5250 to a T7300 with out any problem see here:

    You need to make sure that the motherboard/chipset/socket in your laptop is compatible with the new CPU. One way is to check your laptop's part list on Lenovo's website and then built one with the CPU you want online and see if it still uses the same system board#.

    Current bios is latest.
    When i try build on-line model is see that primary model №8918 as my book
    Whare can i find more info about chipset,mostherboard and it's revision on lenovo site.
    I'm interesing in upgrade to T9300 processor from T7100. It's qual expect freq and l2 cache (by intel site info)

    use cpu-z to get your specs. almost positive you wont have any problems.
