I have the X60 with the 7200rpm hard drive and I notice it get really hot on the right side (thanks also to the atheros wireless card) but then I decided to check up on the temp of my hard drive. With one of the program I installed to monitor the HD, it recorded at 122 F and state the hard drive as overheated. I was wondering if anyone have similar issue with their HD's temperature. Is this normal in X60 model?

50C is rather hot for a hard drive, but as long as it doesn't go higher than that, I wouldn't be too worried.

Tell ya what then, I'll trade you one of my 5400 rpm X60 drives for your 7200 rpm drive
