I have a 160 GB 5400 RPM Hitachi drive that came with my T61. I have tried Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) and I cannot seem to get it to display the hard drive temperature.

What other temperature monitoring programs can I use to check my hard drive temperatures?

Everest Home Edition hasn't failed me yet.

NHC also failed to show my 100GB 7200rpm Seagate temps.
Yes, Everest worked fine for me too.

I just used speedfan on Vista 64-bit with a Hitachi HDD. It's free and worked fine.

I've tried speedfan on my T60, but it was reporting some screwy temps so I uninstalled it.

    Try HD Tune : http://www.hdtune.com

You might need to temporarily disable AHCI in your bios to get temperature readings, though I'm not 100% sure about that. HD Tune works fine for me in XP as it always has.
