2 Kilos for a <7 hour endurance (Although I am pretty chuffed I can Stretch almost 6 hours of mostly-WWAN hours out of this thing) machine with not a huge amount of power on tap.
Let's just say I was not expecting to carry it in 2010 -> 11.
What, if any, weight reduction options do I have without cutting back too much on runtime?
-
Keep it plugged in
Or use 4 cell battery which will cut your off-grid time considerably.
Im sure cells in your battery are up to date so there would be no use in using battery refill services who claim that they can considerably boost battery capacity by stuffing in latest and greatest in battery technology into your old battery.
Not worth the money. -
maybe you need to commission a VogelBung edition of laptops that have all the specifications and features that you need.
or get the 6 cells, but that has 33% less battery time. -
Isnt he talking about tablet model?
In that case he has only 4 and 8 cell options. -
1.6Kg would be more like it, but a 4-cell would presumably cut runtime to 3~3.5 hours real-life... Which is exactly why I can't use the '5-hour' Macbook Air's without an external battery.
I guess I'm stuck with it. Just wondered if someone had an inspired option.
Higher density power? And other X201T battery questions
