Are the new T61 wide screens high-definition? Dell m1330s that were just released are all high-definitions.

Any screen with a vertical resolution higher than 720 pixels is considered high definition.
In other words, computers for the last decade have had high resolution screens. -
LOL. OYE.
Dude my monitor from 1994 was high definition! 1024x768 ftw! -
I'll have to remember that when someone says "hey, you got one them widescreens." It's not a widescreen, it's high definition.

Calling something high definition is really misleading, it could be 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and I think there is even one higher resolution standard as well.
fyi, 720i/p is 1280 x 720, and 1080i/p is 1920 by 1080. I'm pretty sure the new dells are 1920 by 1200, so they currently conform to 1080p. I think the highest resolution on a Thinkpad is 1680 by 1050, so technically, they can't do 1080p -
Actually the highest resolution offer on a Thinkpad is QXGA (2048×1536) for the R5x series

I saw the title and I had to come in to check things out. Answers I expected to see are all here.
I can't believe they are going to market with "High-Definition" screen....but I guess it is working if someone is asking questions on it. -
