I keep getting this high pitch sound whenever I plug in x41 tablet notebook. I can hear it coming from the bottom of the notebook not the ac adapter.

Any advice on getting rid of the noise? :(

Try plugging it in with the battery removed. I occasionally heard the battery charging on my T40.

That's really my only theory. The Pentium M CPU in the x41 doesn't suffer the infamous Penryn whine that many new notebooks have.

Maybe it's the notorious Intel CPU whine you're hearing? It's usually quite a bit louder when running on AC as the processor has been granted maximum performance.

It doesn't make that sound anymore after I removed the battery, but does that mean its a bad battery or the ac adapters putting too much juice and causing that noise.

I have the same problem and it doesn't seem like anyone has found a solution yet. It's strange as the high pitch sound only occurs when both the battery and AC are connected.
