    High pitched fan-hdd-like noises (again), this time in R61

    Hi everybody, as the topic states I've got some strange noise issues with my new R61 (T7100, NVS 140). I've tried digging up through some threads about similar topics, and got the information that the noise comes probably from the CPU switching from lower activity states to higher ones. As this post:

    suggested I donwloaded RM Clock and gave a go with those settings. As I understand the noise is created because of the CPU dynamically changing it's speed and that having it locked at a high performance setting will solve this issue. Well I tried those settings (with Throttle set quite high to 87.5%) and the noise became even louder and worse. I played around with RM Clocks settings for a bit and found out that lowering the Throttle value to 25 % makes the noise much quieter, and it almos't can't be heart then, but with a high Throttle it gets quite annoying. The noise (sounding like a fan spinning too close to some surface or hitting something or like a high pitched version od the hdd sound) can be heard during any disk operations, opening/closing windows and especially when playing games. It's best heard when you remove the palm rest somewhere around the memory banks or on the bottom of the notebook in the same place, but overally it is audible all over the thing. I thought it's the same thing as with other Intel based notebooks with Core 2, like DELLs or all the issues with Macs, but it isn't audible through the speakers/headphones as I understand is with the DELL santa rosa based notebooks and disabelling the Popup mode, C4E, turning on Bluetooth, plugging in USB devices or turning off SpeedStep in the Bios doesn't seam to help. Only lovering Throttle helps in reducing the noise, but it makes the system quite sloow, 1/4 of the original speed for disk operations and anything else. So, can anyone guess what's my problem and how cound I solve it without the need of reducing the Throttle level to a mere 25%?
    Any help will be aprechiated :).
