    Hello everyone.

My AC adapter on my new T61p makes this high pitched buzzing sound and I was wondering if more people have that problem?

Here's the kicker .., I've already got a replacement AC and this one, like the previous one, makes the same sound.

This is the reason I'm asking .. am I the unluckiest man in the world getting two flawed adapters, or is this a factory flaw?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Preacher,
I have two T61p notebooks, and both have adapters that make high pitched buzzing noises; one so bad I can hear it accross the room. I wouldn't say it's normal, but it certainly seems to be par for the course for these notebooks. More than likely it's just a noisy inductor.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm also wondering .. do we have the right to complain about this or not? Meaning, should I call my retailer and tell him I want this fixed, or do we all have to live with this factory flaw?

    Any opinions?

(Sorry if my English isn't spot on, it's not my native language)

I would agree it seems that the power adapters in question are defective in that the adapters should NOT be making hardly any noise.
