I updated my T61 with the latest BIOS from Lenovo. All went well, my machine was correctly updated and booted normally.
However, it seems that it does not hibernate propably now, i had no problem before. I mean, i tell it to hibernate, it blanks the screen, i see the hard disk led blinking for a while and then it stops but the pc is not...i can hear it's fun running...

Has anyone experimented something like this ??

    I just observed this:

when i close my computer by pressing the power button (i was always did that as i have set it to hibernate this way) T61 is behave like i say in my above post.
But when i press Fn-F12 then the system hibernates normally. What the heck ??

Is there a possibility that the new BIOS is able to cause problems like these ? And if i try to reload factory settings in the BIOS menu may correct tis problem ?

What do you mean by when you close your computer by pressing the power button? You shouldn't need to press the power button for it to shutdown/restart/standby/hibernate. It can be done in the start menu or via one of the Fn key combinations.

What do you mean by "i shouldn't" ? I use an available option to use the computer. I mean, that is is convenient for me to press one button than a combination of two (Fn-F12) and because i can set it this way, i just did.
All my laptops i have used, it hibernated them this way, by configuring the power button to hibernate the computer.

Anyway, i downgraded my BIOS to the version i had before i installed the latest one and i will post here if the problem is solved.
