My question is: does the hi capicty Li-Ion Battery pertrude out of the notebook more than the standard one (like how higher cell batteries pertrude out of the HP dv1000 and other machines...)
Please help!
Thx

Yes it does stick out, it adds about 1" to the back of the notebook. In my book the extra depth is worth it as this adds about 2 hours to your battery life.

I agree, the bigger battery is a must have...

If you don't want the battery to stick out, the modular bay battery is an option. That is what I got in my T41. I get about six, six and half hours on a single charge. They run about $110 on Pricegrabber. I don't burn a lot on mine so I picked up a cheap external burner on ebay for when I feel the need. I also hung onto the DVD-ROM in case I have to re-install windows. Good Luck.

I have both the high-cap and the bay pack batteries and would happily trade in both for an Electrovaya PowerPad 160 <http://www.electrovaya.com/product/powerpad160.html>.
