Here is the BBB online complaint link.

    https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx

Seems like one complaint is more than enough to cause little ground shake for your particular order. One guy reported at these forums that.. a day or two after he filed the complaint, a CSR from Lenovo started giving him order updates on a regular basis proactively, and he can even call the direct extension of the CSR without having to go through the 50 minutes wait on phone..

But atleast filing a complain does not hurt.. and it might be more useful than venting your flame here day after day with no use..

They are starting to ship them now and are still within the estimate they gave us (6/26). Wait until then to start flaming the BBB for no reason....

Even if they ship the laptops on 6/26 as they said.. they still deserve to be complained to BBB.. considering BBB does something.. so the future customers do not have go through this nightmare.. The customers deserve much better treatment than what they been receiving all these couple of weeks.

No company should get away easily just because they make good products or they offer you a free gift after putting you through hell with their so called customer service...

I do see that you received your T61.. may be that softened your stance on this issue

Why are you people always bent on filing a fraud report? What fraud was there? If you don't like Lenovo service, don't buy from them. They don't even charge you until the laptop ships. Stop making yourself a victim and whining about it. It's embarrassing.

This is one of the most stupid things I have heard. You place order with company, company has delays, company NEVER charges your card, you file fraud report because you haven't received your item yet?

Next its going to be you suing Harley because the waiting list to even get the chance to place a bike order is a year in advance.

This is just a waste of the BBB's time. Fraud does not equal product delays. If they charged you and you never got the product... thats something different.

Not to mention Lenovo never gauranteed you anything by any date. All dates are ESTIMATES as cleary stated on their site.

Delays happen, its a fact of life, live with it or take your money else where.

Lenovo has really gotten their act together as of late.... Only thing is they are having a hard time cancelling orders I cancelled my X61T order by calling 6+ times throughout the past week I just got a shipping confirmation today. I also ordered another X61T a couple days later and that one is shipping too. OH WELL

They will probably let you return it without any fee if you contact them.

I used email to cancel my order and found it was canceled within 2 days, maybe email works a bit better to contact them?

Does anyone know the email address that you have to put for Lenovo in BBB for a complaint ? I put the phone number as 1866 968 4465 but am not sure what email address to put...

I got a brand new R61 and when I tried to use the machine it does not work well...After I shut down the machine to start it again, I have to remove the adaptor and put it in again to restart it....
called them they say I should send it for a repair...but I'd rather return it as it is defective, I have orded a new computer and do not want them to repair it for me and give me a repaired (which means refurbished) one..

They say to return the defective one also they will charge restokcing fee...this is crazy,...

    any help ???
    Thanks in advance folks !!

Wow, a four month old thread resurrected... and it's not even a very good one.

Nah, what you are saying sounds kinda "crazy". If you send it in for repair, they will return your same laptop with a brand new part. That doesn't make it refurbished. Your laptop became "used" the moment you opened it from the box. They are willing to repair your laptop. That sounds reasonable to me. Also, the restocking fee on returns is their policy. That's just the way it is.

Let say you bought a brand new car. Right after you brought it home it wouldn't start. Come to find out they installed a faulty alternator. They offer to fix it by installing a brand new alternator. Are you going to file a BBB complaint on them? Is the car somehow refurbished or somehow less of a car just because it had a faulty part removed and replaced with another brand new part?

Just because your laptop might have a faulty part doesn't make the whole thing a pile of crap. Just let them fix your laptop.

The way repair works is you send you laptop into the repair depot. They fix what needs to be fixed and they send it back. It is usually fast. Less then 10 days fast. You will not receive a refurbed laptop (not sure where you heard that). Why don't you give them a chance before you complain to the BBB?
