does anyone know why there isn't an option for the SL9600? (2.1GHz)

the best option available is for the SL9400 (1.83GHz)

Maybe they don't want to sell X200T's with SL9600's.

ok i just checked... apparently the UK, Canada, US etc all do not have options for the SL9600.. not sure why

however other countries outside of the above listed offer the SL9600 for the non-multitouch version of the X200T

anyway it makes a big difference getting the X200T direct from lenovo US.

The spec-ed out version i selected only costs US$2100 after discount, while in my country, it would be US$3403 without any discount!!

The Australian store has the SL9600 with the enhanced multi-touch screen... I ordered mine on the 22nd of last month and it's still yet to come.

Availability of the SL9600 has been extremely spotty on the US build to order site for months on both the x200s and the x200 Tablet. You can occasionally find it on International sites, custom education portals, and some preconfigured "Topseller" models; however, I haven't seen it on the US site in months.

I'd recommend you get the otherwise specced out multi-touch x200 Tablet from the US site with the SL9400. The difference between the SL9400 and SL9600 is fairly minor (only a single clock multiplier, everything else is identical) and the SL9400 is plenty good for almost any task.
