I have a new t61 running Vista with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, and I'm trying to get TV-out to work. I have purchased an Audio Authority 9A60 VGA to component converter, and have it all hooked up, but I can't seem to make my computer output the proper video settings. I've tried everything I can think of -- NVIDIA utilities, Lenovo utilities, vista utilities... The Audio Authority site suggests using powerstrip to set the computer's video output settings, but I haven't been able to get anything close to a good picture that way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's usually a problem on the TV side. Do you need to tune the TV display?

Thanks for the quick answer. I'm not quite sure what you mean, though. My tv is analog and standard def, and the only options are basic picture adjustments and input jack selections. When I enable my tv as a second display, an image does come up, with the same color palette as my desktop image, but it is blurred in strips. Changing the resolution for the display output only changes the number of stripes.

I have never get up and running a S-Video to RCA video adapter on my old T42p to a standard TV. Can't you get a LCD display, it's so much easier with the D-sub cable (Monitor cable)

I actually used a s-video to RCA for years with my t40, and it worked perfectly, which is why this problem is so frustrating. And I only wish I could afford an LCD display.
