    So here's my story...maybe ya'll could help.
Bought a t61p w/1 gb of RAM with intentions to upgrade to 3gb. I was having a difficult time upgrading to 3gb and getting it to work so I used the hidden partition to restore the computer. The machine was working great for a short while with 3gb but then soon there after the machine wouldn't boot into vista. The section after the windows corporation status bar I would get a black screen w/only a cursor on it and nothing else. The memory I got was a 2gb ocz stick...and when I removed the stick and booted the computer with the only the original 1gb stick...I still get the same screen. Any help or ideas...?!

If I were you I would ask the MODS to move this to the Hardware section because more people will see it. I would also consider changing the name. It may not be a RAM problem. I don't have any good advice but try using just the 2GB stick, the odds of two independent sticks of RAM being bad is unlikely unless the system is causing the problem. check to make sure the RAM is seated correctly. Good luck.
