Help with identifying T61 part #

Hello all,

I require a part for my T61. It's the clear plate on the lid - the small oval shaped sticker over the LEDs with battery + plug + moon icons.

I have searched those FRU #s under T61 but so far have come up with plates that are too long. You see, mine is the very short version with just enough space for those 3 icons. The ones I've come across are oval but have a black blank space next to the battery icon which makes them slightly too long to fit.

I was wondering if FRU #42W3658 has the plate I am looking for. If not could you recommend the right part number.

the outer clear plate comes preinstalled when you buy a new LCD cover.   to the best of my knowledge, the clear plate kit doesn't include it.

 

That's not true. Clear plate kits do include the oval plate. I have personally seen this. Just that all the ones I've seen don't fit.

BTW, is it easy to remove the LCD top cover? I'm afraid to try it as I dun want to damage/ scratch anything.

section 11, part number is 42W2450. I think you might want to double check with your machine type.
